i see alot of dat pics in the photo lounge.. what makes them cool? maybe ill get one if there pretty cool.. whats there temperment? would it be ok with a payara and 4 yellow cichlids? also it seems when i read that a tank of water went bad it usually cause a dat spit up.. info would be coo.
 
what's the deal with aros? what's the deal with PB? what's the deal with fish in general?


It's just what people like, I hated them ages ago, but now I am changing, they seem to grow on you
I use to think they were an odd shaped little stupid thing, but now they look kinda cool, there was a guy who caught one from his local stream, it looks really great!

I love dats! I really don't know what it is. I find I like them better in large schools of different species. 2 in a tank might fight. One would be fine or grab 4 or 5. Make sure these cichlids and paraya can't fit into its mouth.
 
I like their patterns. The black and white stripes are a change of pace from the other fish that I have. There's more to it though that I can't really put my finger on.
 
i love them. they have this personality. my 11 dats would always go and look for me when i'm around. what i mean is that when ever i'm near the tank they would follow me. not because i have food (but also one reason). they hunt feeders like james bond!:ROFL: they would stalk them before gulping them. but when they are hungry they chase them right away.:naughty:
 
I like them because their looks. The wide bar is my favorite. He was a major pain in the butt to get off live food, however it was worth it. He now only eats from my hand. I also have two thin bars which I'm rather disapointed in, due to all they do is stay in their caves all day and night long. Thin bars are such wussies, at least mine are. One has to stay on his side because of his size. LOL Ah well just my 2 worthless cents.
 
i like dats for their looks and stripes...looks very cool... saw one in my lfs and i'm researching about them first before jumping and bringing it home...

i guess i might buy them soon...hopefully no one have bought them yet :)
