I have a bd male were the outer spotting is seems to be washing out to edge of disk, he is still feeding but not as active.
Some help please!

Need pics to see what's going on, sounds like running spots due to stress or bad water.

Any other fish stressing him?

Cheers Wing,

I have added 3 more rays and one dat to the tank,so he has been put out.

If 3 more rays were added in one go then I expect there was also an ammonia spike whilst the filter stepped up to meet the bio load, it may well have gone by now.

Give the tank a good work up with the test kit and check ammonia, nitrite and more importanly now nitrate and ph.

If you add any more then test for a week or so every day. I imagine it will all now retrun to normal and the spike has probably passed.

Does it look anything like this?

Thats one of my leos that came in with spot shifting. In my case it was due to stress from a rough import and bad water. The spots went back to normal after 3 or 4 months, she is now fat and happy. If it was from an ammonia spike when you added the new rays then I would expect a full recovery provided you keep your parameters good.

thanks to all of you,
my water is testing fine! and the new rays did not touch food for two days,
I have been told by a good freind that it is stress his breathing is fine and he is still feeding and the other five rays are fine, yes its like the picture of your ray but not on the big spots so i hope he will be fine

Looks like stress... turn the lights off for a couple days. just keep an eye on the other rays to see if the are "topping" him.
