In scouring the web, I find constant contradictions and mislabeled pictures. It's so terrible that the mistakes aren't even consistent. I've figured out the Purple Shore Crab, as that one is hard to get wrong. I thought I had also figured out the Japanese Shore Crab vs. the Oregon Shore Crab, but all the text that describes the spines on their bodies behind the eye is immediately discredited by photos that contradict what was just taught. Pretty much every online picture of every shore crab is the same species with three points behind the eye. Even though the name changes from pic to pic, it's the same stinking crab. If anybody has photo evidence of which type is the Oregon Shore Crab and which are the invasive type or types, you have my gratitude. I don't want text, since I've read a ton already. I need to see a correctly labeled photo ID guide. If it exists. Thanks.
