way down far
hay all
iv got sum monocs and tems around 10+''
ive got them in a tank with eco complete planted substrate wich is a black gravle/sand mix and thier colors seem a little too dark so i was wondering wat you would go for i dont want bare bottom though
any help would be appreciated

Natural multi-colored gravels seem to work well. If it looks like something the bottom of a river might look like, thats a good place to start

:iagree: dark or natural coloured substrate work best..

pool filter sand ftw, or tahitian moon sand

sand alters ph .. but im not sure about the moon sand

Honestly i think that is totally your choice i understand you just looking for opinions but really its all what you want, you should put rainbow colored gravel, jk! GL

river rocks with a nice piece of drift wood and live plants.

i would say a pool filter sand or 3m color quartz or something mine seem to really like the sand...when i had gravel they kinda got beat up becaus ethey were very active feeders and would hit the gravel with their nose and cut it....IMO

i think the tan s-grade colorquartz i have looks pretty good with them. it won't alter the pH like regular sand
