wat is the growth rate of a pleco?

Hi i'm new in pleco.. I fell in love with Royal Pleco..
can i check if i get a 5" Royal... how long does it take to reach 10"

You can expect 1-2" a year. My L-190 grew 1.75" in about a year. I have heard of people having better growth rate than that, but I believe that is not typical.

At least three years to go from 5" to 10".

SLOWWWW I picked up one about 6 months ago and i can't even tell much of a difference.
