hi all, i got a 2inch channa pleurophtlhalma but it doesnt seem to eat wat i put in. tried frozen blood worms, pellets and small feeder fishes.
wat should i do? feed it live bloodworms or try feeder catfishes?

It doesn't usually take a lot to get them eating. If it new it may just need a few days to settle down. I would stick a couple of small feeders in and leave him to it. He will eat when settled. don't continue to add other food items until the feeders are gone. Mine loved live shrimp, did not however go for worms of any description.

feeder catfishes? can u elaborate. I would think the "barbels" on their fins wouldnt be very good for your snakehead or any other fish for that matter.

i jus got it today. i got 2 but it is ok to keep more in a big tank? if im not wrong, this species can live in a group? so is it ok to keep 4?
feeding it shrimps? they will take shrimps too?
i got 2 10 inch gars and i feed them live feeder catfishs which i bought from fishshops. they love it, so i was thinking if my snakehead would take catfish too. smaller ones thou.

how abt small catfish? cos for wat i know, guppies cant live very long while catfish can be kept longer.

Or if you want to keep them off live food, stick with the bloodworm. Also give them plenty of water movement, when they see the frozen blocks float around with bits falling off they will eventually think "Aha FOOD!" if it just sinks and sits on the bottom they won't find it too interesting.

i would prefer feeding live food. i was jus testing with the frozen bloodworms.
live feeders = grow faster (according to my gars)
=)
