I just got two water bugs(beattles?) from PetSmart for free, they were in the guppy tank. One of them is on my Rubber Lip Pleco. Will that end up being a problem?

___edit

He is gone now, but I'm still wondering if it will cause problems.

i do not understand what you are asking?...

any pictures of the water bug?

There are lots of different aquatic inverts out there. You really need to give us a picture of what you have. Otherwise there is no way anyone can give you advice on the matter.

I might be able to get pictures, but I think they both died. They looked very similar to some of the beetles on this page, and ones I've seen in ponds when I was younger. I don't think they were fish lice. They were ~ a 1 cm long I think.

__edit

It looked similar to this in shape, lighter color, but no pattern I think.

there is an aquatic insect called a WATERBUG and it does eat small fish (minnows). are you saying that petsmart sells water bugs? if i'm correct, i'd think that they would be the ultimate escape artist. i'm not a bug person, so i don't see the appeal.
