So I NEED to do a WC on my 180gal through the shower head because it's the only source I can use with my Python but I can't for the life of me figure out how to rig it....The threads on the head are too small...

Help Please(it's an Aqueon Water Changer btw)
 
find out the thread size. go to your local hydraulics/ Hose fittings store

ask for a thread adaptor to be made for you .
or buy airline hoseing to fit the thread.
most good ones will fit them for you
 
Or...just think about how buff you're gonna get doing the bucket brigade all by yourself...
 
I got a pet store shower sprayer adapter, for washing dogs in the tub, it comes with everything needed to adapt it to the shower head piping. It is detachable with a 1/2 turn quick disconnect, you would just have to cut the sprayer hose to detach the sprayer, and give you a quick and easy way to add a valve and adapt your python to it. When not in use, it just adds a small fitting between the head and the wall.


I got it at PetCo or PetSmart for like $30 a couple years ago. Works great to wash the dog, and I have been meaning to adapt it with my Python. I believe it just uses a 1/2" hose, so barb fittings would be easy. I can take a picture of it for you tonight if you need one.

On your first question I believe that it is standard 3/8" pipe thread. 3/8"-18 NPT ;)
 
go to home depot or lowes. go to the area where the shower heads are. They have an adapter that u install the pipe where the shower head comes out now. Its usually for running 2 shower heads off it. One a fixed head and the other is those hand held ones.
