Hi all i just got back from petsmart and they were having this awesome memorial day sale and i couldnt pass it up they were selling alot of there fish for 1 dollar i mostly just got some tropical community fish i already have my monsters but my question is my tanks were going to get vaccuumed today should i put the fish in there now and vaccum do a water change or should i do the water change now and wait to put the new fish in after a couple hours pass by any info would be greeat

Do the water change then add the fish. Just in case you tank has a little mini cycle from the extra fish.............

First of all, they probably have a menagerie of diseases. Secondly, put them in QT for a while to be sure it doesn't spread to your valuable fish.

Agree with second poster.

I also agree with third poster. You SHOULD always QT new fish. Honestly I don't, my fish aren't that expensive nor have I ever gotten a disease ridden fish.

Most likely disease free. If he has really expensive fish that contract parasites, viruses, protozoans, bacteria or viruses, he'll most probably regret it. And it doesn't matter that fish are inexpensive- it matters that they came from PetSmart
