hey guys and gals!

I herd it’s best to mix your salt in the water before you put it in your tank. I’ve just started to do this with instant ocean reef crystals. I use a water circulation powerhead to mix the salt with the water but I can never get it clear! It always looks like this in the pic. The pic is a 24 hour mix with a heater in it at 77* cuz that’s what my tank is usually at right now. Why is it so cloudy? Will it ever go away? Can I poor this in like this?

Also, my salinity is at 1.20 and I want to get it to 1.25. How do I do this? I’ve tried with water changes of 5 gallon worth and put in saltwater mixes that read 1.25...never changes from 1.20....

That should normally clear up in a very short time, if its cloudy 24 hours later then something seems wrong.

That's a big complaint with IO. It kinda sucks. It takes forever to clear up and the foundation elements for a reef tank are all over the place. I switch to fritz about a year ago and never looked back. It mixes clear instantly
