All winter I did the partial water changes and no problems whatsoever. But as soon as the weather started heating up I did a change and our Black Ghost went belly up and ended up stuck to the filter intake. I grabbed the bottle of Amquel and immediately administered it and within the hour Black Ghost (Tippy- for those who name your fish) was swimming up and down- just like normal.
It's that time when gasses are released from our water system, I guess. I use the Amquel regularly now and no problems. Good stuff (Tippy agrees).

Yeah, I guess they are more sensitive. During th Winter I did regular water changes and the fish were ready to eat right after. This is in all 5 tanks. But as soon as the weather warmed up the BGK went all ah-woops! I read on this (amazingly informational forum, I might ad) that when the water warms up gasses are released faster and should be monitored. I guess a Black Ghost Knife is more like a "Canary in a coal mine".
