This is probably 'small fry' (pun intended) project fodder for you experienced DIY guys but I'm a bit of a thicky when it comes to practical matters so will throw yourself to the lions.

I am looking for a clever labour/lifting saving method of getting the water from my 25 litre small necked container into my fish tank. I've found that adding water conditioner and letting it stand for a few days lowers the nitrate in the water. So I will be changing 25 litres every couple of days to keep on top of the nitrate level in my tank. Getting fed up of putting the container on a chair and sucking/syphoning into a bucket then into the tank.

Is there some way of using a powerhead and a tube to pump it in??
Price is a consideration else i would just out and buy a £50 pump.

Any input grateful

I use the eheim compact+ 2000 for my larger tanks,

and the eheim compact 1001 for my smaller tanks with some garden hose attached

but you can use any cheap pump for water changes, I just use these as I have them spare.
