Water Change question

Does my new water have to match the temp in tank? If so how do I get them the same?

Yes, your new water should be the same temp. because sudden temperature changes can be stressful/harmful to fish. I test the temp. with my hand, and then I use an in-tank thermometer to monitor the water temperature as I am filling the tank.

Id try to match the temp of the new water with the temp in the tank. You simply do this by mixing hot and cold water from the tap till you get the required temp. Use your wrist to test, your fingers can be deceiving..
