and they poop A LOT I did that water change about 9pm yesterday and there is already large piles of it on the sand in spots
Kris Kringle and the weeksii look like they are getting pretty big too. Are they at the 12 inch mark yet? I want to hug that weeksii.
How much more maintance do you to do with the plecos? Any slime coat sucking issues?
Kris Kringle is about 10" and John Weeksii is about 9" but a lot thicker(maybe 1.5x)
the 3 big plecos have doubled the maintenance because not only do they produce large amounts of waste but they also destroyed all the plants twice now but they are about to get their own tank. I have had a single incidence of slime coat sucking but I have found as long as I keep cucumber in the tank 24x7 and put enough pellets and tilapia for them to get some then they leave the bichirs, knifefish and eels alone
