Sorry for all of the questions
Trying to make sure I know all I can before I start...
So I am planning a 75 gallon cichlid tank with dual emperor 400 filters. In order to buffer the PH up a bit I was going to mix some crushed coral in the substrate and more importantly hang it in bags in the filter bays. This should buffer the PH up a bit..
So my question is if my tap water's PH is lower than the tanks, since the tank is buffered up, is this going to be a problem when doing a water change?
I like to change 30-40% of the water a week and I don't want to PH shock my fish every week. Will the crushed coral in the filters buffer it up fast enough to not be a problem?
