How often do you do water changes when breeding cichlids? I have had on unexpected spawn a while back. This is the first time I am going to try and breed my cichlids, and I want to try for better success.

Really no one can share

I personally increase the frequency of my water changes, but lower the amount changed. My logic being you need water changes, but you also need the environment as stable as possible. So changing less water at a time helps prevent stress while increasing frequency keeps it relatively equal in it's effectiveness to eliminate waste and other negative by products. This is just my personal method and I'm definitely no expert, but I have raised cichlids before and it's worked just fine for me. Hope this helps you out and congrats on breeding, good luck.

I try and do them as much as possible. Every weekend every tank gets at least a 50 percent wc. My bass grow out gets 2 and maybe 3 times a week

frequency & amount 'needed' is tied to factors like stocking & feeding, filtration, etc. So there's no flat answer, but more is usually better.
