Water changes with mean fish?!?

What do you guys do? My female Flowerhorn is a jerk, if I even attempt to put my hand in the water she follows it jumping out tryin to bite it, during water changes, she beats up my siphon, the follows it to the surface and jumps out to bite me. Anyone else have any fish that are like this?

My Red devil does this with the siphon, i usually just hit him around til he goes away.

Flowerhorns...all the fishes that have bitten me are FH

...and also people, lets be realistic here ok, dont Beat the Crap and jam the siphon down on them, just hit them to lettem know...LOL like the good ol days when I got my ass whooped for being a punk. A lot of kids NEED this nowadays.

I don't beat mine. I have my wife separate him with a large net to the other side of the tank. I used to scare him with a dead gold fish when i was training him to eat pellets.
