Hello,
So Im definitely getting a Midas, but watching some YouTube videos I'm not sure how its possible!

Maybe ill be lucky and have a docile one, but I've seen three videos where they draw blood.

I've also heard of using balls an stuff as toys for them. Could I put in a toy to distract him during maintenance?

You don't have to distract him, my managuense would try and take my hand off until I just jabbed him with a net once. Left me alone ever since

A toy could work if he gets super fixated on it, otherwise a divider would be your best bet if hes agresive durin maintenance. Just put the diveder in the middle, vaccum the side hes not on, then let him through and do the other side.

Don't be afraid in maintenance , just push him away its a cichlid bud, not a black wolf, or a ray or even aramatus lol. He will learn ur not afraid and deal. I watch guys clean the wolf tanks at the aquarium and they say if u act hesitant u get bite if u just perform ur normal cleaning they just ignore ya
