i o w england
i do a 50% water change once a week would i be better off doing two smaller changes/ its a 180 gallon tank with a 22inch silver arrow 22inch gourami a18inch south american lung fish two 22inch cat fish and 12 6inch tinfoils i have a fluvel fx5 filter and a sand filter any advice please

with changes that frequent it wouldnt make a huge difference, but i would go with 2 slightly smaller changes per week.

question guys, do u hav to change water in the tank once a week even if the water is clean? or looks clean?

Depending on the bioload of the aquarium, at least once a week but if there are not many fish or they are smaller then every other week at the minimum. Once you add fish to a tank the water quality will start to go south regarless of how much you filter. With your fh I would think 1x week at 30-35% would be great.
