Water changes

How many water changes are you doing in your indoor ponds and how often?What changes in seasons (winter-summer) except temperature in your changes???

My 1.000G indoor pond is running since April and i have done only one 50% water change.My parameteres are fine and i don't think i need more.However i add water when i have evaporation.

When I first set up my pond, it took me a while also to do a water change, when I tested for my Nitrates, it was around 80ppm, so I came up with a system where the water is not wasted but used to water the lawn, thus, I could virtually do as many 50% WC as I wanted, especially during the summer where the plants were thirsty, I got my Nitrates down to around 10-15ppm.

Now its been raining a lot so, I've cut back on my WC. Last time I checked it was around 40ppm right before I did a water change.
