I was wondering... why is it that when you test for let's say Nitrates using API's kit, it says leave for 10 minutes (obviously for reaction time or w/e), but if you leave it for like a day, the "bright orange" will eventually turn into a deep red.
So why is that? Any chemist out there wanna share their knowledge?
