Go to your local walmart and buy pillow stuffing or filter floss, they go for like 2-3 bucks. Then put that on the top trays. That should clear up the water. The only downside Is that it clogs faster.

Stocklist would help. Xp3 flows about 180 gph and xp4 flows about 190 gph. Took figures straight off the side of the boxes ( I own 5 xp series). You're really only turning your tank a bit less than 2 x per hour which would really only work if you were understocked. Many suggest 4-5 turns for an average setup, 7-8 for larger messier fish and 10x and up for salt or species that require a high o2 tension.

Floss can help, but I'd day you're a little underflitered for the size of your tank depending on what's in it.

For reference, my 90 has a 400 gph wetdry and 2 xp3's . I run bio in all filters wrapped in fine floss. SA/CE cichlids and a very messy L204. Water is completely clear.

Dude, could be anything. Give us a little more info:
1. How long has it been set up?
2. What is ur stocking?
3. RU running a UV sterilizer?
4. Is it near a window?
Better yet..post a couple of pics. Its something that can be remedied, we just need that info.

Tanks been set up for 8-9 months, it looks like a combo of my stocklist and unfilteration is the problem,
2 pbass 4-6in
2 albino channel cats 4-6in
1 tiger oscar 6in
1 ck 6in
1 softshell turtle 8-10in
1 ornate bichir 9in
1 common pleco 6in
1 tsn 7in
1 rtc 1ft (FS btw lol)

You will deff have to step up with more filtration as well as watch to make sure your not overfeeding them as well and vaccuming your substrate when you have time I always vac when I do w/c's.
