Guys I need help ... I am bothered why the color of the water in my tank is weird .... what causes this and how to fix it ... right now my flowerhorn is ok but im kinda worried ... the smaller tank differentiates the color you can really see the difference .

While I don't know exactly what's causing it, here's a few things that I know of that cause cloudy water
1. Over feeding - do you take out any food your fish doesn't eat after feeding time?
2. Excess fish waist (caused by above problem)
Do you have any test kits? If so what do your readings say?
Also, there looks to be a few 'poopies' on the bottom of the FH's tank, what's your maitnance schedule?
Any filtration other than the sponge in the pic?
Answering these will give other members a better chance at helping.

How much did you change?

Also, answering the other things I mentioned will help other members help you. :)

and currenly don't have test kitsbut my fish seems to be fine
the water is new ,,, i just had 25% water change earlier this morning
and yes ,, that's the filtration I have right now

Oki doki. Do you syphon the poop and uneaten food out when you do your changes? Also, if you don't have the kits yourself most lfs's will test it for you if you take them a sample in, 1 cup is normally enough. :)

Sorry, Local Fish Shop. :)

Personally I'd leave it for a few hours to see if it settles. If it didn't settle then I'd probably do a 50-75% water change.. Is the water coming from your tap cloudy?

Also, I'm not an expert on these things, that's just what I personally would do.
