HI I am working on a senior thesis discussing the design, instalation, and maintenance of a 2100 gallon aquarium. it is 20x4x4 ft and will contain 3-4 lb chinook salmon and steelhead trout. It will be a salt water tank. I am having trouble finding information on what I need to do for waterconditioning and also how many fish i can have in the tank. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. thanks

Doug

well you've come to the right place... for salt water most of the water is reverse osmosis then the salt balances everything back out as far as fish I'm not sure on how big those fish get so I can't answer that at this time more members will be by

Are you near the ocean? If so I would pump it out of the ocean ( at a clean and circulated spot ) and put it in the tank...

well the project is for a general aquarium and will be able to be installed anywhere so it is going to be a closed system. Im wondering how long the water needs to be sitting before the fish can be introduced and what ph alkalinity etc. are there chemicals to be put in and in what order and how long before

I have to do a time line of when things need to be done.
