so yesterday i spent all day after school doing a water change and everything went well and normal. and today in the morning i noticed it was a thick white cloudy water all over the tank. i just thought it could be sumthing temporarily, bt like 30 mins ago when i came from school it was still cloudy but not as much as this morning. wat could it be???

could be ammonia or a bacteria bloom of some kind..

Test your water... easiest way to tell what it is.

I'm currently cycling a tank with some feeders... once I get that cloudy look ... water change time!... or else i start losing fish (not that I care... their feeders for cryin out loud) but a water change usually gets it under control... I don't even test the water in that tank as I know it's the ammonia build up ... should actually start losing these blooms soon ...

What type of fiter are you running? is there Bio material?

im running a magnum 350
i guessing activated carbon could be bio material. is it??

you need a media to hold your bacteria colonies.

how much of a water change did you do?

i do 20% weekly and the last week of the month i do a 40%-50% wc. its been recommend by the recent owner of my tank, and his fish grow out quickly and healthy. so i follow his foot steps, i asked him about the cloud but he doesnt know wat causes it,

now the water is 90% clear but i can still see a bit of cloudy

maybe you didn't dechlor as well this time around and you killed some bacteria and now you have a ammonia bloom.
