Water cow died, questions?

So last night I fed the 55 with my water cow and my sun cat, fed krill. Like always the water cow ate everything. So today I get home from work and the water cow is upside down dead on the bottom. Any ideas, old age or the sun killed it or what. It had no noticeable injuries on it, I'm baffled and pissed.
