has enyone herd of a water cow? If so plase give some information. like ph, temperment, and est.

YES! And you are the first person that I've ever heard of asking. I have three. I'm assuming you mean Eleotris picta. They get to be about 15" or so full grown. Mine change color with mood. They're go from a black and grey horizontal banding to an all black color. Mine are growing like weeds. They eat almost anything I put in front of them. They just need typical Amazonian water conditions (80F or so, pH of mid 7) and lots of hiding spots. Mine have hollowed out under rocks and logs. They just sit there with the tip of their noses sticking out until feeding time. One is very personable and will swim right up to me. The others hide and will only come out for food. I'll try and get some pics.

there an interesting fish, i have heard they weren't very active, but i've never kept them. i saw one on aquabid a few weeks ago, it was 12" like $60

You aren't the first person to ask,
but they are really awesome fish - I've had a couple, but unfortunately each one got killed surprisingly. (Quite a feat considering each was about 10 inches and THICK) They are nonaggressive, but love to eat fish and worms.

They do not move a lot, but they do move enough to stay interesting at all times. Love them!

do you thinke I coude keep them with 5 pupkine seed blue gill, a oscar, and a clown knife?

I saw oe at a fish store I stopped by a few weeks ago.Interesting straight lines on the fish and kind of odd angular look to it.Id never seen one before.Toss up some pics Id be interested to see if its the same thing.
