i have 5 6-10" red bellied piranha in a 125 gallon tank, with one powerhead set up in corner mainly for airation. im wondering why exactly these guys need a strong current, and is it really necessary? if so, what pump would provide a sufficient current in 125 gallons? is a powerhead good enough? any help would be great. thank you!

you need something like this for huge water flow, most powerheads max at around 1200l/h but the following run at 3000l/h. i see them used mainly in marine tanks but they can be used for freshwater.

i have that powerhead in my p tank and it works wonders they love the thing. its a koralia powerhead a number 4 i believe.
