Water dosing system

Hi,


I'm trying to set up automatic water exchange system for my tank. I'm looking a device that can dose specific amount of water to my tank. Water is going from my bathroom and some device is dosing specific amount of water to my tank (for example to 2 gal per hour).

Can I buy or build something like that ?

There are plenty of things to buy to regulate water flow, but it depends on what you specifically want to do. Do you want to constantly drip water or do you want to change a certain amount of water changed at different intervals?

Hi,
I want to constantly drip water. For example, within one week I want to change 100% water in my tank. It is something like ~25 gal / 24h.

All you really need is a pressure regulator and a drip emitter or to. Of course, you will need the additional pluming supplies, but all of this can be found at Lowes. The pressure regulators and drip emitters can be found in the irrigation section.

You can get the drip emitters that will drip 1/2, 1, or 2 gallons per hour. They should be right up your alley.

Hi,

I order drip emitter and in Lowes I found:

Feed Water Presure Regulator 1/2in. 10-25 psi (WATTS)

Is this will be OK ?

Thank you for help !!! You really helped me a lot !

I already finished my project. It took me couple days but it’s working perfect !

Now I using 0,5 gal/h + 1 gal/h drip emitter. We will see for couple days how parameters of water will be.
