I recently started to stock my 75 with Haps and Peacocks. I removed the powerjet from my XP3 and replaced it with the spraybar since these guys are from a lake.

Now that there is no strong flow in the tank, the poo just settles where ever and looks bad on my light colored sand. The powerjet would push the debris under rocks until a vacuuming.

Would it bother the fish too much if I put the powerjet back on? I wanted to make their environment more natural for them, but if they can thrive in a tank with a strong flow, I want to put it back in.

The Rift lakes are known to have wave action up to 10'.

They won't mind the flow.

You have to remember Lake Malawi is massive.
It has currents, tides, waves...
It can get rough enough to surf

Well ,mine seem to not much care.I thought they would spend more time playing in the current, and don't get me wrong they do, but for the most part they have games/tendancies that don't fit the model I was expecting. My guess is they need a long tank to "be natural". I guess time will tell but so far they are far less agressive than I expected.
