alright.

i've got corner overflows on my 240 (96lX18dX31h) and 4 returns at the top of the tank. even when i turn a couple of the returns downward i end up with a couple "dead zones" where the water doesn't circulate and i end up with mounds of fish poop. i end up vacuuming it every few days cause i hate the sight of it, but is there any way to create a constant flow through the bottom of the tank to avoid this problem???

Use power heads! But the nice thing about having it the way you do is that you can easily suck out the poop from one spot. Being you have overflows I cant imagine much that poop ever going up to them and getting sucked out. I also have a 240 8x2x2, one overflow on one end and two return lines with direction jets on them, water always stays clean, but poop always settles in the normal spots, which for ease I like for cleaning.

the poop does stay localized so its easy to get too, but i guess its just the perfectionist in my looking for an answer for everything.
