would a penguin 350 and an ac70 powerhead be too much water movement for baby pbass
im thinking about taking the powerhead out of my feeder tank to add more water movement in my grow out tank
i dont want to them to be just floating about in the flow and die so is it a good idea to put the powerhead in there or should the penguin 350 enough?

I think you should be fine.. You need to delete the 2 other threads though lol

I've had bad luck w/ small bass and powerheads. I had a 3" or so ocel get sucked into my AC70 and I even had some foam cut out covering the inlet.

agreed. just add airagation and floating plants.

do you mean aeration or agitation? obvioulsy can't be irrigation because they live in water LOL

guess i should be more clear...that sounds weird. I had foam between the adapter cone and the strainer where the cone attaches.

forgot to mention i have the prefilter attachment for the powerhead as well...but after hearing ur story pwmin im startin to think that still wont be good

If you hook a sponge filter to it, it'll be fine. IDK how big the prefilter is. You can always hook it up and feel how much suction it has.
