hi,
I've 3 senegal bichirs in 60g tank, they all just 4-5".

I've seen from many sources that The Senegal Bichir often found in slow-moving water. Should I reduce a flowing from my filter to be lowest? so the water b more still. or let the water flow and let my fishes get used to that condition.

caz sometimes I saw they swim in front of where filtered water came out, I dun no that is happiness or what. but many fishes(etc. Gars) do this anyway so I dont really worry about this, just wanna treat them well as much as I could.

IMO I prefered a strong flow caz it more keep water clean than slow moving :D

i think i would leave the filtration on high, but maybe aim it towards a tank wall. if hes in the tank relaxed at the bottom not having to swim constantly then i dont think you have a problem.

my bichir does that too from time to time, they like to play with the current of the water, dont't worry about it

Just make an area where the current is weaker so if they want to get out of it they can-Anne

My endlicheri endlicheri and endlicheri congicus like to swim against the stream, while others swim randomly. However, all of them rest at the weakest flow corner.

I don't think the flow in a tank no matter how high can be as much as a slow running river. Unless you are turning over 1000 gallons in a 55 gallon tank or something and then I don't even think that would be as much.

As stated earlier, as long as they aren't constantly moving to stay still they should be ok.

I'm taking back what I said about the flow. Full flow is best but sometimes you may need to acclimate them to it.

It didn't effect my birchirs but my clown loaches didn't like the full flow. They stayed hidden most of the time. I turned it down about halfway and they're back out.

I'll just turn it up a little each week and see how they respond. Maybe in due time I can have it full power.
