So I kinda goofed and replaced my kitchen faucet with one I can't hook my water changer to. So I was curious if anyone has put a fitting in line from the shut off valves under the sink?

I've done it for filling only. PVC tee with threaded ends to go inline from the 1/4 turn ball valve on the wall to the supply line for the faucet.
Then on the branch side of the tee have a valve and a Barb fitting or whatever your fill hose needs.
It's not pretty but it works.
Never had a python but I'm assuming it won't work since you need run water through the it.

Adding a T and a hose bib connection isn't all that complex. If you installed your new faucet you should not have any problems.
The problem is you will only have cold water for filling your tank unless you want to T off both the hot and cold lines and install a mixing valve which is doable but a lot more complex.
