I have gotten some Water Hyacinth and Water Lettuce, and wondered if I could put some in with 2 Eastern Painted and 2 Common Musk turtles?
They make these cool little daughter plants that I would like to populate other tanks with.In the turt tank they would be in close proximity to a MV lamp so I know they will grow off of that.My main question is are any of these toxic to the turtles?Would these be safe to float them in the same tank?

Thanks.

I have them in my Manatee tank. They love them.....

They will be fine, these are both encountered in the wild and I think that the hyacinth is actually a good food for them.

yup. the turts will definitely destroy the plants, so better put them somewhere else and only throw the daughter plants into the turtle tank.

Wow...thanks for the time-saving strategy.Definitely only going with the daughter plants.
