water level

I saw baby sens in the lfs previously and I want to keep them in a 20galls tank; how high should I keep the water level?are they fragile when they are small?

I left about 2 inches at the top when I was growing mine out in a 20 gallon. Not sure it's to important as long as they can get air and can't jump out.

My level is just behind the top frame. As already stated, w/ a good canopy and an air stone to provide oxygen between the canopy and water level, you should be good. My babies are some of the least fragile of any other fish I've kept and they eat like pigs on pellets too.

just keep the water about 3 inches above it's body. it should be fine. anything higher is not a problem. i keep my bichir tank pretty shallow because they go up for some air.
