how do i remove these nasty things from plants? i wont mind boiling the water and kill all those good bacterial in the sand because i could restart them again anyway.need help thanks!

Not at all....

Take 8 weeks without a host at >20°C or a bath in pH >=10....

That´s all

or just drying it all completely, that kills within 3 hrs if done correctly...

I would do a quarantine of 8 weeks, this includes the whole development of the new Generation, the larger ones I would kill at pH 10...

A ten minute dip in an alum solution will rid plants of anything you dont want. Make up a stock solution of 1 level tablespoon per 5 liters water and dont bath plants longer than ten minutes. You can buy alum at the chemist.

Great idea...kicking the fishes with aluminium :screwy:

No .... you dont dose up your fish tank. Its a BATH meant to kill eggs and micro-organisms and will be harmful to the plants if overdone. You bath (dip) the plants in a bucket or suitable container. sorry, I thought that part was obvious and common sense, This is a recognised technique for removing unwanted protozoans, flukes, snails etc.

You cant bath fish in this.

I am just kidding ;)

But actually it makes no sense, the way without chemicals is more succesfull against fishlice, those are quiet harder than some flukes....it´s just a matter of time....
