I have a 180g tank with some small CA in it. There's a synspilum, argentea, 2 regani, an unknown Vieja/coat/something and a GT. I also have 3 5"+ clown loaches in there. I know the clowns would appreciate some more water movement in the tank than I have right now, do you think the cichlids would too? I have 2 AC 110, an XP3, 2 large sponge filters, and a large (forget the model number, 1200?) maxijet. Do you guys think I should add some more? Let me know. :) Thanks.

It doesn't hurt to try it. You'll know if your fishes are digging the extra water flow. If they don't like it, they won't be around it. I just use 2 sponge filters, 1 Canister, and low gph power head on a 195 gal. Seems to be working for me. Furthermore, I think your fine cuz of the 2 AC110 HOB used and there is surface movements. It should assist.

There's a decent amount of flow already, but it's not like it causes any difficulties for any of the fish. Even the 2" GT can sit in front of an output and be alright haha.

I think you have plenty of water movement with your filtration, but I like to keep 2 water pumps in my large tank, 1 on each end.

Do you keep your maxijet running at all times?

I use a 1400 GPH pump in my riverine cichlid tanks This I consider paultry compared to a river that normally would flow 14,000 GPM.
Even in a lake there is what is called laminar flow which turns water over at an incredible rate.
