Anyone have advice on water movement for my Gar? I have 4 power heads and some good movement in my tank, should I reduce?

Depends, does it look like he fights the currents, and tries to avoid them? If so, you may want to reduce the flow, or re-position them, but if not, if he doesnt seem bothered much, and it doesnt interfere with his swimming patterns, then I don't imagine there would be a problem. Just make sure to keep them (the power heads ) pretty evenly spaced throughout the tank to ensure that flow is regulated.

4 maxi-jet 900's and 2 XP3 spray bars in a 250 gallon. He seems not to be bothered buy it. He will do a curv or bent type of action sometimes and will eat at the back wall but someone in another thread said to keep water movement to a minimum, so I was just checking. Thanks all for the info.

If he is curving away from the flow - he's bothered by it, LOL. I say just remove one or so, and re-position them, then see how he does, it may be just to active of a flow for his liking.

You could always add some sort of structure to act as a current break. I have observed spotted gar seeking refuge from current behing wing dams and I have shocked them up in the heavy current of a main river channel. I think the bigger they are the more tolerence they have to current.
