moderately stocked is this to much movement?

I think it would depend on the type of fish that you have in the tank.

Its all cichlids about 30 2-6inch
i dont have expierence with cichlids, there lower flow fish i think. but the maxijets dont put out much flow. i guess the question is do 2 fx5's put out too much flow?

sorry i dont know there gph rate, but someone will help. i know theres monster cichla keepers

some like the movement and love the Oxygen that is moving around. I have some aftican cics and they just play in the bubbles and waves that are moving around the tank but when i had red oscars they liked the calmer type so its on the fish , what you like to see , and will it be benefical to their health

2 fx5's for a 125 is a lot of flow even without powerheads.

i have 2 fx5's, 2 empo 400's and 1 magnum 8 in my 300 and it looks like rapids. looks like a desert with drifting sand. may even be too much for my tank.

I have 2 FX5's on my 5 foot 120 gallon. No powerheads. three, 6 inch oscars in there, they make a mess, water is perfect all the time, flow is amazing. they love it!!
