Water params

Ok, I've never had this type of water param, but I've recently moved and now I am on a different water supply. I've recently done a large water change, a couple of days later, rinsed out the filter pads in tank water, rinsed media in tank water, and now I have these readings. My stock list is two oscars 11-12", GT 8", common pleco 10", and two recently added festae 6-8". Filtration is two magnum 350s, blue sleeves and filled with ceramic media. Fluval FX5 filled with two boxes of biomax, two boxes of pre-filter and a extra magnum filter sleeve. Here is what my water params

Looks good. But Ammonia is hard to read and it could have a little to none at all.
 
The ammonia is reading at .25ppm My ammonia has been steady at 0ppm, so I think that their might be a high content of ammonia coming out of the tap. I don't over feed, mainly a few floating pellets that they eat within a minute. I'll do another 25% w/c tomorrow and see how things work themselves out. Hopefully I will not have to call the water company and have them give me an explanation. I have having to deal with them

did you check your tap waters params? Most likely is your tap being the problem, if you had the current stocking/equipment and got 0ppm. Or it also could be the newly added festea's, theres more bio produced so you will have a bit of ammonia for a while. If it presist you could get more ceramic rings, just toss it in the outside part of the cansiter. I do this and its fine, though you do need to clean it once i a while to prevent cloggin of the rings.
 
After checking the params straight out of the tap, ammonia is off the charts. It is almost at 1ppm :eek::nilly::eek::nilly: I will have to call the water supply company and file a complaint. I believe someone else here had to do that...Tcarswell I believe. I wonder how his fiasco turned out. I am not looking forward to talking to them, because it was a PIA just to get my services switched over from my previous address
