I also use umbrella palm (Papyrus) as a marginal in pots, and bring it in the house, in winter. It does fine as a house plant dry during that time.

the Hyacinth can get pretty invasive, so some needs to be periodically removed and placed on the compost pile.
The tub below started with only one plant.
I also like elephant ear (Colacacia) in pots, in shallow areas .
I even put Papyrus in pots in tanks, and refugiums to help using up nitrate.
Much of the aquatic plants sold, are started and grown in an emersed state.
Some like java fern, naturally grow next to waterfalls, in constant spray, and mist.
