Water pressure-Physics and Enginneers Only Pls

Hi,

I will be setting up a 300 gal front tank (96"x30"x25"). I am thinking of drilling 3ea 2 inch diam holes that will drain to the sump.
I need to know what the pressure and flow is from each hole. Can someone kindly help me?

It's past midnight on the east coast, so I won't be doing a synopsis tonight. Pretty much their results are in line with the horizontal flow rates chart (since that is how they set up thier test rig). Some of the deviations were surprising.

A lot of noise can be eliminated by:

1. keeping the overflow box a full as possible so there is minimum distance of water fall into the box from the aquarium
2. keep the tailrace (outlet) from the Durso pipe submerged where it enters the sump, and I find a horizontal discharge helpful
3. throttle back the tailrace at the sump to reduce any air that wants to be sucked in (yes, evem with a well vented Durso Pipe
