Water Problem?

Tank used to be crystal clear. just noticed today there is what looks to be white dust particles floating around? they kinda look like micro bubbles but they arent. any ideas?

i was thinking maybe it could he from my filter and would be solved if i added a fine filter pad?

either a floss pad or new carbon and more surface agitation. i also noticed when i add discus buffer to my tank that the fine powder stays on the surface. just ideas

Did you change water recently? Some hard water may leaves white flakes after you add buffer into it, they usually remain at bottom tank.
Try charcoal or more density filter pads.

surface agitation isnt an issue have my magnum 8 pointed towards the surface

looks like dust...

i did a water change because of it but it did not go away
