My levels were great and after i did about a 30% water change my water turned REALLY cloudy and almost a yellowish coloration it did not go away after 24 hours and the water was perfect before this cleaning. It is a 75 gallon tank with african cichlids and a 2 plecos ( both under 4 inches) Ive tried different things ive read on what to do but its not helping and no my fish are not dying and dont appear stressed. ANY IDEAS?? ive always cleaned it weekly and never had this happen. The tank is 8 months old.:irked: Im freaking out i dont want to lose my fish.:(

City water or private well water?

It's possible the city may have been flushing water lines or had a water line break somewhere near you. Yellowish water is usually due to rust so it may not be a problem. It could also be from your hot water heater if it is deteriorating due to age.

If the fish aren't acting weird I wouldn't worry. You could always do another water change but let the faucet run for a few minutes before using it.

Have you checked the tap water in another area of the house to see if the water is also yellowish?
