water problems

i have too many fishtanks and im sick and tired of hauling water from my buddies house. i have well water and it sucks! when i tested my own water out of the tap it comes out.please let me know if i can do anything.will an r/o system help?thanks.

alkalinity-300+ppm
ph is 8.4+
no chlorine
total hardness is hard 150+ppm

What fish are you keeping? An RO would help for fish that like softer more acidic water.

i have a motoro stingray, 6 caribes,4 redbellies. all in seperate tanks

I have a 4" motoro and I use tap water. Ph comes out at 8
I do 50% H2o changes every 4 days (5max) if this helps
His tankmates are Red tail Payara, 2 VATFS, Spotted Gar

im just worried about the alkalinity.im boiling the water rite now too see if its gunna do nething???

I know a few peeps that have a big drum (I think like 50gl) and they fill it up about 2 days before or so and treat the water so its good to go when they do the H2o change

A R/O system would help, don't use strait RO, mix it with some of your tap water until you get the desired parameters. I use a 7 part RO to 3 part tap water for my discus.
