My tank is 320 gallon. We change our water out once a week. We have 4 stingrays and some discus's in there. We have no plants and no rocks or anything else. There is lots of oxygen going in the tank. Why does my water on hot days turn cloudy? Is it the temp or is it something else? On average days it turns clear.

is there sun on your tank?

mmm... Temperature effects metabolism.

Temp goes up, Rays metabolize faster, produce more Urea..

The spike in urea (ammonia) causes a bacterial bloom.. (cloudy water)

nitrifying bacteria can't keep up.. it takes weeks at the high temp for it to re-establish.

You probably need more surface area for you biomedia.. might help.

A chiller would be the solution for controlling the temp long term..
