I have a pump now that will do 3600GPH at 25' which is just a little less then what I hopped. I have one tank that will be about 18' above the pump and one tank that will be about 8' above the pump but a much longer horizontal run.

I wanted 3000 to the tank at 18' and 1000 to the tank at 8' or a total turn over of 4k however it gets distributed. So in my mind if I wanted 3k to one and 1k to the other the pump had to be able to put out 4k at 25' to account for plumbing and ect.

I didn't think the pump would have an easier time pushing water to the one thats 8' since it would still be fighting the back pressure of the 18'.

Also where would I tee a pump like this would I tee it at the main vertical trunk at 8' or do I tee it at the out put and run two trunks? does it matter?

Sorry to ask such noob questions but my last adventure in teeing a bigger pump didn't seem to give me the output I was looking for.

You can also increase the size of PVC pipe that you're using to reduce friction loss.

You also have to see what size PVC that the flow rating is measure at.

For example, a reeflo dart can push 1800 gph at 10 feet with 1.5" PVC, with 2" I may be able to get 2000 gph

Reeflo has two commercial lines of pumps, the silver line commercial and gold line commercial, that are huge pumps capable of high flow and high pressure (up to 70'). Give them a call. They should be able to assist you in finding the right pump for your needs.

I will be buying a reeflo but I already have on big pump but it will be a back up pump because its a pool pump and uses 1100 watts. I had looked at the dolphin pumps and I would love to have one of those but they are big bucks, but I would likely recover the cost in electrical savings in just 1 year. I mean 300 watts 24/7 is about 260.00 a year.
