Water Pump Overhead OR Air Stone?

i was wondering what would be better for my fish, an overhead water pump or an air stone wall? I have a flowerhorn in my 55gal, its basically for him? And what the advantages of both are ? thanks

The overhead or commonly reffered to as HOB (hang on back) filters will provide filtration as well as boosting disolved O2 levels/assisting in gas exchange. The airstone will only boost disolved O2 levels/assist with gas exchange. If your to pick between the two go with an HOB. Bubbles bother me in the tank but that's just my opinion.
