Water question

Can the rays doing the funky chicken cause the water quality to go. Like my ammona went up....i got it back down and now the nitrite went up some. Now im trying to get it down. All the rays in the tank are not eatting as agressive as they usally are. I feed them some night crawlers tonight, they ate but it took them awhile. I think the one ray maybe pregnant will she be ok if i dont feed until i get the water back in shape.

i dont think that would do it... its prob that u possibly have too little media for ur growing rays, or did u tamper with ur media to start a mini-cycle?

I think too much ray sperm will pollute the water and make it smell funny(Don't touch the water yuk~), partial water changes should do the trick!

The pond pump and filter is set up for a 1000 gallon pond. The pond is only 400 gallons and not filled all the way up. The filter has a sponge filter and lava rocks in the bottom. Also has a blue pad filter in the top as an extra filter. Inside of the pond has about an inch of sand. Fish load is four motoros, two alligator gars, one pike chiclid, one irredesnt shark, rhino pleco and a regular pleco and also a ripsaw catfish. Today we took out two pieces of driftwood thinking maybe it was holding a bunch of food or waste.
